    Hi Cathrin

I'm able to access the Online tracker. It's showing my application at Stage 5, which is the final stage after the signed acceptance is received by KCL. My application was last updated on May 13, 2008.

    See you in London.

    Cheers
    Prashant

    Hi

    @Liza:
I understand that Hampstead Campus is quite far from the Strand campus. Apparently it's 8.1 Kms from the Strand campus. You can check distances on the website www.walkit.com. You need to put in the postal codes of the starting point and the destination and it will give you the distance and estimated time if you have to walk. :) Of course I doubt you'll be walking that far to reach campus. :))

@Sonam; You'll probably get to know in a few days.

    Hi Prashant,

thanks for your quick reply! Could you maybe send me a link to the online tracker? Maybe I got the URL wrong. I used to be able to log in just fine... Thank you!

    Hi Cathrin

Here's the link for the tracker, which I used to log into my account.

    Hope it works. :)

@ Prashant: Yes, it works! I had a wrong URL (from a KCL email, though, weird). Thank you so much! My test results obviously aren't there yet, but at least I can log in.

@Liza: Hampstead is a beautiful part of town, really green and pretty - it's where all the movie and rock stars live! I'm sure you're gonna like it up there. It's my first choice for accommodation - but since my application is running late I might not get a place. :(

    Hi Cathrin

Glad I could help and the link worked. :) Thankfully I got a TOEFL/ IELTS waiver, so I didn't have to worry about the test results reaching KCL. I'm sure they'll reach soon.

I've also heard that Hampstead is a nice part of town. The only reason I didn't choose it as my first choice was because it is far away from the Strand campus. Plus, friends of mine living in London advised me that the money I saved on rent at Hampstead would be more or less spent on the travel costs over the year. That's why I chose the residences closer to the Strand campus.

@Liza: What I've heard is that if someone is not happy with the accommodation they have been given, then they will have to accept the offer and later on find a student in another residence, who wants to swap places. They will then have to contact the Residence Manager and the Accommodation office for proceeding with the swap and for further instructions.

    Hi

My moving in date at Wolfson House is September 13, 2008. I requested the accommodation office to prepone my moving in date to September 9, 2008 since I will be attending the International Student Orientation scheduled between September 10, 2008 and September 12, 2008.

They've asked me to write directly to the residence Manager and request for an early moving in date.

Those of you who have got their accommodation and are attending the International Student Orientation can probably write to the respective Residence Manager at your allotted residence and request for an early moving in date too unless of course you have alternate accommodation during the orientation.

    Hi Prashant,

Well I am going to accept the accomodation offer. Will try finding someone to swap places. how did you send in your acceptance - fax or post? And how did you contact the residence manager- any contact details given in the website?

@ Cathrin: Let's see what KCL allots you. You can swap with me for Hampstead........
