  @Sonam: I haven't received the Residence Pack either. But they did ask me to send a signed acceptance for Wolfson House when they made the email offer to me. Still waiting to receive the hard copy offer. I think we will only get the contract towards 3rd week or end of August and have a very small time window to send back the signed contract and the deposit. At least you have your Visa. LOL.

  @Sonam: LOL. That's true. But you've got LPH at least and the Visa. I've just got Wolfson House without the Visa. LOL.
  
  Incidentally my cousin and his wife are leaving for London on 22nd August, so you can ask him for feedback on LPH once he's there. His session starts from September 2nd. I think you're in touch with him. :)

  Hey guys, this is Anisha from Bangalore, India. I passed out this year...My offer became unconditional some one week ago n i sent them the acceptance that very day but as of today I neither have the offer letter in hand nor the accomodation in place, though i appplied within the 30th of June, yet i hope to see u all in September! Anyone else stuck in such a sticy situation? :( Plz tell me n help ease my tensions a bit!!

  @ Anisha.. hi how u doing.. well u need to worry a little coz u are getting late by each day.. but good thing is u are not the only one on this stage.. one of my friend from Chd. is on the similar stage.. he too is waiting for the Unconditional offer letter...but he is expecting to receive the same in day or two..
  
  regarding accommodation; i am on similar stage as urs.. no confirmation with regard to accomm yet. but i know King's office. they will reply in first week of sep. so in mean time i will suggest u that u keep looking for alternative accomm as well..

  @Anisha ......king's college sends the hard copy only thru snail mail thatz y the delay.you should be getting it in the nxt week or so I guess. Keep all other docs for the visa ready so that you can apply for the visa as soon as u get the offer letter. Anywayz all the best for everything.
  
  As sanghi said better to start searching for private accomodation so that you always have a backup if you are not offered acco.

  Prashant, I just have an INFORMAL offer e-mail from LPH :( they still haven't asked for the signed acceptance!!! n yes, Rohit added me on FB so we should exchange notes about the place - good idea! But I asked him whether he received any contract n well, we're both stuck at the same stage sadly :(

  @Anisha: As Liza said, they send the hard copy offer letter by ordinary mail so it takes time to reach. As for accommodation, if you've applied before June 30, 2008, then your application will probably be considered in the 2nd round once your acceptance of the offer has been received. I suggest you write to the Accommodation office and send them a scanned copy of your acceptance letter. Ask them to expedite your residence application. You are a little late but there is still a chance that you may get priority for residence since you're an international student. In fact just give the accommodation office a call and talk to them directly in addition to emailing them. As Aditya said, keep looking to alternative accommodation too. All the best.
  
  @Sonam: That's strange. When I got my offer for Wolfson House, they sent me an email with an attachment. There was a Form A along with the attachment, which I had to fill up and send back to the accommodation office within 7 days of the email offering me Wolfson House. I sent them a scanned copy and a hard copy of Form A. I also haven't received any hard copy of the offer letter or the Residence Pack but that will probably come around 3rd week or end of August. I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you've already informed them that you're accepting the informal email offer. I'm sure your place is booked at LPH by virtue of the email offer. Rohit is leaving on 22nd, so he's probably waiting for the contract more desperately than you. :))
