    Hi Gian

You've brought down the list of observers from 49 to 48. :)))) What did you think of the Strand building? Did you visit any of the KCL accommodation options?

    See you in London.

The Strand building itself is quite nice although some renovations in the interior would not be bad.
I did not visit any of the KCL accomodations and I can not comment on that.

Yeah Gian, I've also heard that the Strand campus could do with some renovations. I think they are working on it.

    Hi all

If you plan to work in the UK after the LLM, they have changed the system and have done away with the International Graduates Scheme. You can check out these links below to get a better idea of the Tier 1 (Post Study Work) options.

    Hi All

For those of you who are not aware of this, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, UK is changing the regulations for foreign qualified lawyers from September 1, 2008. After September 1, 2008 foreign qualified lawyers who apply for the Certificate of Eligibility (CE) to take the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) would necessarily have to show/ obtain one year of English law experience before being granted the CE.

Persons who apply for the CE before September 1, 2008 would still be governed by the old regulations. The CE is valid for a period of 3 years from the date it is granted. So if you apply before September 1, 2008, you would not require to fulfill the condition of one year of English law practice.

Most of you probably know that the QLTT enables one to enroll as a Solicitor of England and Wales after clearing the exam, if you have done your LL.B outside UK. There are some exemptions for EU persons.

You can check out more details at the links given below:

    http://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/qltt.page

    http://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/qltt/revised-guidance.page

    http://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/qltt/transfer-regulations.p...

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

    Hi

I got my accommodation email today. I've been given Wolfson House, which was my second preference. My first was the Stamford Street Apartments. They will send me the residence pack after I send them my hard copy acceptance of the provisional offer by July 18, 2008.

Anyone else staying in Wolfson House? It's about 3 kilometers walking distance from the Strand Campus.

    Cheers
    Prashant

    Hi everyone!

HELP! Can you still log into the online application tracking facility on the kcl website? I get an 404 Error Message when I try... Apparently the website is unavailable. My TOEFL results are here and I'd like to find out if they have arrived at King's yet...

Looking forward to meeting you all in London - Cat.
