and Prashant is there anything particular in the contract that we need to take care of.. i am sure u must have gone through the contract by now..

I haven't had any time to go through the Residence contract. Will probably go through it late at night. Have lots of meetings fixed up for today evening. LOL.

Well I finally got my Visa! Yippee! So one hurdle crossed! But the biggest of them all is getting my contract on time!! which seems to be a distant dream! I am getting quite anxious now because I thought of having everything in place before I leave!!!! Oh well......
I just wanted to ask you all, if you received any confirmation from the Orientation team? I mailed them last week but got no reply so just sent them another one!
Aditya- Thanks!!!!!!!!! I think I will pay the deposit today!
Anisha- Congrats! I know its like rubbing salt on your wounds but then University accommodation is better than any private one! Atleast all your bills are included in the Fees! Plus I heard from a few friends that the shared Restrooms are not that bad afterall! I agree with Prashant! Itl be fun to meet people from different Colleges! So you get a chance to build your PR! LOL!

Aug 29 2008, 07:39 AM@Ujjwala.. well regarding taking contract with u.. i guess it will be better to confirm from the SSA first. different apartments have different policies... i have mailed them but i have not received any reply till date.. will give them a call in case dont receive my contract with in day or two..

Aug 29 2008, 10:36 AM@Prashant.. finally got my accommodation contract too.. i gone through it.. Prashant i am confused as to Direct Debit Mandate. what exactly it is? is it for depositing initial deposit of 150 GBP or something else. Kindly let me know whether we suppose to send direct debit mandate to accommodation office or Credit Control Office.

Sorry man, I just haven't had time to go through the contract in detail. I'll probably read through it tomorrow or on Sunday and then send it off on Monday morning. I'm sure it's not going to reach by 3rd even through DHL, but I've paid the 150 pounds, so I feel safe. LOL.
