Aug 15 2008, 08:07 PM@Anisha: With a few drinks inside me, I won't need the warm clothes. LOL.
@Ujjwala: I'm all for enjoying the experience. The loan will be paid one way or the other later so no point worrying about it now that I've decided to go.

I am not attending the 10-12 orientation, so I will be reaching London only on 15th morning. Plan to attend the condensed version of the orientation in Strand on the 15th.
How about u? R u planning 2 attend the orientation?.
@ Anisha
As international students we are eligible for National Health Service (NHS) treatment from a doctor free of charge since our course duration is more than 6 months . For this we need to register with King’s Health Centre on arrival at the University. So no point in taking an extra health insurance.
This is the link which details it

Aug 16 2008, 04:29 AM@Ujjwala: Well I also believe in crossing the bridge when I come to it, but to a certain extent I do plan a little about what I'm going to do when I cross the bridge and reach the other side. LOL.
@Anisha and Liza: We are covered under the NHS but I don't think the NHS covers dental treatment, which is really expensive there. Maybe one can take an insurance cover for that.

Aug 16 2008, 07:02 AMHey Prashant -
Nope, regular dental treatment is covered as well. It's additional things (like false teeth) that are not covered, I believe. So unless you'll need major oral surgery, the NHS cover is fine regarding dentist visits...
@ Liza Mary: you seem to be very well-informed, I am happy you're staying in the same halls as me! :)[Edited Aug 16 2008]

Aug 16 2008, 03:29 PM@Cathrin: Thanks, I didn't know regular dental treatment is covered as well. But it's sad that false teeth are not covered, what if I need them there. hahaha.
@Ujjwala: The stress part is over now since I'm going. LOL. It will start again towards the end of the LLM. :)

@ Ujjwala

They said that we cud expect the contract sumtime in late august, there was this remark about sending it sumtime close to aug 25th.
@Aditya
Sonam had posted in orkut that she got the accomodation contract. No one else seems to have got it.
