Accomodation in London

Jul 14 2009, 06:35 PMHello all, we are two belgians coming in the middle of september, looking for two or three people to share a flat, we saw some good proposition but still looking. We want something close to King's, even if it is situated in Strand on the Westminster county which is very expensive we can find something for a good value and as an ex londoner, it is easily negociable with the agency or the landlord.
We can exchange some idea here, we use to go on gumtree.com, we are searching around Pimlico, Battersea north, Waterloo, Vauxhall, Victoria, Tower Hill and London Bridge. All these area are very close to King's, 15 min maximum by tube and if we are situated north of the river, we can walk 15 or 20 min...for the lazier...
The budget than we can afford is between 90 and 150 pounds per person per week.
If anyone is interested, please contact me, thanks

Jul 14 2009, 07:51 PMHi Edgardo! Did you receive the offer by e-mail? If so, does it has details on the type of room (double, ensuite etc)?
I've just checked out my online status and it was changed to "Allocated" for the International Hall. The offer expires on July 23, but I don't know how can I accept it... I will call them tomorrow.
tks!

Jul 15 2009, 06:25 AMhey guys how do you check the online status??
I went to status of application on the kings website and it asked for DOB and student number. So I punched in the application number that kings sent me in an email. But that didn't work. The site says 'information not recognized'.What is the student number??

Jul 15 2009, 07:17 AM@Joana: I got hamstead residence that I didn't even put on my priority list.. It's sooooo far away from everything. That's why I'm kind of hesitant to accept it. In the end I'll probably accept it and then look for sth else in the second trimester if I don't like it there.
@Sharika: call the accommodation service office, bcs it should work. You have to type in the same number as for tracking the application process.

Jul 15 2009, 07:26 AMHi Klara: I got Hampstead as well. It is not exactly close to the uni but not that far (door to door 35 minutes) and the area is very nice. I am gonna accept it and worst comes to worst move out the second semester (but are you sure this is possible?
