  @Anjanakshi - Hey.. I am landing on the morning of the 15th.. At about 6a.m... isn't that the morning u land too?

  Heyy Harjean !! Yes its the same morning, my flight lands at 7 a.m ..I thought you were wait listed for the 14th, so I have to admit, I didn't think I could co-ordinate with anyone at all...So I managed to get hold of someone I know there to come get me from the airport and take me to her place first, which is near my accommodation at Hampstead, relax a bit, and then drop me off later in the day there . .so I'm going to be useless to you that morning, unless you can think of anything I can help you out with if we run into each other at the airport :)

  hey anjanakshi, just wanted to know hb u recieved ur agreement n the other documents???? secondly, do u know the actual distance from the airport to hampstead? will be reaching thr on the 15th ... so just wanted to know the actual distance n how to get thr.....

  Apparantly, so far Walther, Annagiulia, Sonam and myself the only people on this forum who will be staying at LPH. Anybody else from Kings joining us there??

  Hi Shwetha...I received the agreement and other documents just yesterday. It contains a pretty exhaustive list of do's and dont's and information, but its almost annoying the way they have failed to mention how to get to the residences. This information was there in the previous year's admission packs, which I downloaded from somewhere a long time back.
  It is also mentioned in this King's Welcome Guide booklet my agent gave me, and I will type it out here for you.
  There are 3 ways apparently, the easiest of them is to take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station. At Paddington Station, take a black cab from the taxi rank to Hampstead Residence.
  Or, and this seems pretty ok as well, take the National Express Airport coach(bus) to Victoria Coach Station. And from there, take a black taxi cab to Hampstead Campus.It says it will cost around 22 pounds.
  There is one more, which is so confusing and requires one to get on and off too many times, that I am sure you will not take, seeing that we will all be carrying a hell lot of baggage.
  I would go with the 1st route, as it seems Heathrow Express is easy to locate and navigate.
  I am not sure about the actual distance, but I am told its not more than half hour away from Heathrow.
  What time do you land on the 15th, btw?

  @Hampstead residents: I received the Residence Agreement today and basically we have until the 24th to pay the deposit. Plus, I got allocated a Single Room South and wanted to check where other postgrads got there rooms (Southside or Northside)?

  Hi Anjanakhsi: I think all the postgrads are supposed to stay together. I am going to check tomorrow where that should be exactly.

  @Riad: I also got allocated Hampstead single room south. Does anybody know whether that's the new or the old part? I looked at the prices and the soutside is cheaper ... I'm still not sure whether to sign the agreement or not. Riad if you figure out where exactly that is and how far is to the closest tube station, please let me know.
