    Hi all

Reached London today. If you're alone and don't have a friend to help you carry your stuff then forget about taking the Heathrow Express or the Tube. I had 2 suitcases, one guitar and one heavy shoulder bag but my friend came to Heathrow so we managed on the tube till Green Park and then till London Bridge and then walked till Wolfson House. Haven't moved into Wolfson as yet since the room is only ready after 2.pm. Sending this mail from LSE from afriends account.

I'm serious, you can't do it alone with heavy luggage for sure, it'll be too much for one person. So those who have more than one suitcase and also additional hand baggage avoid the tube and Heathrow Express. Spend that money on the cab and treat it as initial set up expenses.

Will give you more feedback in the few days I have before everyone arrives. Let me explore things.

    Cheers and all the best
    Prashant

Aditya I'm flying on 13th. But I'm in a trouble. The Accommodation agreement reached me on 05.09 and I was expected to accept the same on or before 3rd. I could'nt. And neither did I pay them any booking fee of 150 pounds. Now, my accommodation has been cancelled. I'm in real trauma. Chopras have sent me Nido London link for private accommodation, but I'm least interested in that. I had been given an offer for Stamford Street Appts... I guess i missed a great deal. I have no place to stay now!!! I'm writing to King's Accommodation but with little help.

    Hello everyone,

I have also reached London - spending most of my time searching for accommodation. By the way - what happened with the mini-orientation on the 15th, are we supposed after all to reschedule it for the 19th or not?

    Cheers,
    Vlad

P.S. @ Prash, Lina, Elnur and the others that have already arrived or arriving tomorrow...perhaps we should arrange a coffee meeting some time soon?

@ Vlad: I have emailed [email protected] that I'm supposed to enrol on Monday and whether I can attend the orientation on the 19th instead. If your enrolment takes place on Monday, maybe you should write to them, too... If I don't hear back from them I'll attend as much as I can on Monday before/after I have to go to Waterloo for enrolment.

    @ Vlad

I have also mailed orientation asking them to cancel my orientation booking for the 15th and put me on the one happening at Waterloo on 19th. No replies to that so far........but i think that is the only option we have.

    @ Cathrin
Waterloo and strand are quite far from each other, so we will end up missing most of the orientation session.

@ Liza: It's only a short walk across the bridge, it's not too bad - so since the orientation lasts basically all day I still think it would be worth going. In an ideal world, they'd reschedule us for the Waterloo one on the 19th, though...
