    Hi Uche,

In almost all cases, it is unnecessary to apply for a second course since the admission process does not have a numerus clausus. But when I applied, I applied for a second course as a backup for myself (ended up getting offers for both courses), and it didn't cost any additional fee, so I guess you should go ahead!

Since your TOEFL score has yet to be sorted out, you could perhaps call up Leiden and get yourself conditional admittance first? That'd help you with booking housing and settling other issues such as visa, etc. But admission itself takes around 4-6 weeks to sort out so I guess it doesn't matter that much.

    Good luck with the application!

    Cheers, adila

    Rhia,

I couldn't get any dutch rental agency to give me a dutch rental agreement so early for our visa, so I guess right now we are stuck with university accomodation (any other non-EUs in a similar position as us??)..

I sent you a message though relating to how I fared with contacting others dutch rental agreements. =)

    Cheers

    hey
    Adilah ,

I am a little busy till the 21 st of this month. I am still not givng into the UNi housing its way too expensive if I dont have scholarship funds. So I still gonna wait till aug and will go and find out if I can get the visa on my own just with the letter of admission. what so you think??
Anyhow the dutch want a interview in person before they give out a room to let( as I am to understand)

    Hey Rhia,

I don't think that's such a good idea. August is probably too late to apply for a visa. Plus the dutch regulation is really strict because you definitely need to come with the MVV, otherwise you will have to arrive and go back all the way to India again (to get yourself the MVV), which will disrupt your studies.

Not all dutch rentals need interviews, but almost all doesn't have any room available right now for rent in september (the gap is too long). I'm contacting some dutch rentals and I will let you know. =).

Don't close the option for university housing is my best advice for now, because housing is really important for visa (regardless of how expensive it is, us non-EUs are stuck with this option for now).

    Cheers,
    Adila

P/S.. Guys, if any of you found a nice apartment/house/studio to share in the private sector, do let me know if you need a housemate =)). Could be worth it and cheaper, especially if rent is split.

    Hi guys,

I have just been accepted on the LLM in Public International Law! Not sure what to do as I have been accepted at Manchester University (I am from Manchester) and I'm still waiting to hear from UCL. Leiden would be more exciting though. Does anyone know whether students live in Leiden or Den Haag?

    Maybe see you there!
    Leila
