Apr 26 2010, 03:53 PMHello there
Is anyone in this group admitted to start the advanced masters program in public international law? I just got accepted and will be moving to Leiden in August. I would be interested in making contact with others on the course.
Best wishes
Maggie

Apr 26 2010, 04:18 PMYay! I am feeling a little lost about what to do at the moment. I am doing the criminal specialization. I am from the UK. You? I am looking into university accommodation, probably their apartments but might go to Leiden next week to have a look... excited about the course!

Apr 26 2010, 06:41 PMHi Maggie.
Great news! I am in the same course too.. I have declined the unive housing offer as the places are not worth the cost as I have heard and read.
I am going for private housing so the rent will be easy on the expenses.
Will talk on fb or mail so that we get better perspective.
Congratulations once again! for a moment I thought Adilah and I would be the only women on board.
Regards
Rhia

Apr 26 2010, 09:42 PMHello All. I have got a place on the Leiden master with a criminal law specialisation. I have also got a place at the Geneva Academy to study IHL. I am really interested to know if and what you may have heard of the Academy and why you chose Leiden. I am struggling to decide between the two! Thanks

Apr 26 2010, 11:07 PMHey Ana, come over to Leiden! I don't really know anyone who studies in Geneva Academy, so I cannot really help you there!
Hey guys, I am also undecided about university housing but I have talked to various private housing but it seems not many are renting from over the internet so early in the game (since I need a contract for housing by 1st June for visa purposes)
I might end up getting the university housing and breaking their contract after all.

Apr 27 2010, 08:39 PMHi Ana I think it depends what you want to do at the end of the masters. I had not even heard of the geneva academy so what I say is just from a super quick comparison. But, for what its worth, if you want to work for one of the organisations in geneva e.g. red cross/work in armed conflict type stuff then you should go to geneva. I think Leiden whilst being very specialist, looks more generic than the Geneva course, but really i have no idea!!
