Jul 10 2009, 11:30 AMSujata: I applied for the visa from Bahrain and it took only 3 days to get although the UK consulate was in Abu Dhabi. Logically, it should take even less time with you since I understood you are in Dubai.

Jul 10 2009, 12:42 PMHi! Riad, I know that it should not take more than one week when I apply from Dubai but my only concern is that can I apply for the visa on the letter thaT I received from college....the details of the same are mentioned in my post above or do i necessarily need to submit the so called VISA LETTER as enclosures to the visa form???? what documents did u submit for the visa?

Jul 10 2009, 01:32 PMunfortunately you will have to wait for the visa letter. This is what I think anyway but I'm pretty sure of it. I only enclosed my undergrad degree and financial statements as per the new requirments. The employee asked me for my transcripts but I told him I do not have any but that proved to be just fine.[Edited Jul 10 2009]

Jul 11 2009, 02:20 AMMy visa letter was also "misteriously" returned to the university after one month it was picked up by the courier picked it up ( they gave me the tracking number of the Parcel Force courier service). Thankfully, a friend was able to pick it up for me and sent it directly by DHL to me.
