and BTW Shewta, today I called the Accomodation department and they said, that most likely they will send the accomodation offer/rejection letters by end of next week via mails and emails..I am keepin my fingers crossed, hope I get one well in time.
Have you guys already got your visas???

Shewta, most likely by 10th of September....am a bit worried cause my visa letter was returned and now will have to get some courier to pick it up from the college and send the same to me....College will not spend money in courier again...very funny! so need to arrange it myself to be picked up...they say that the letter was sent in the month of May and got returned while I got email notification of the same just 3 days back..I dont understand how the hell they took 2 months to notify me that it was returned....
BTW, wat exactly does the visa letter say?....I have received my unconditional offer letter...that too contains all the information, can I apply for my visa on that offer letter??
I am really tensed now...

Jul 10 2009, 01:29 AMThe VISA letter says the exact duration of course and course fees. Plus recommends that visa be granted so that you could be there at least one month ahead. Don't be tensed. Get it ASAP and apply for VIsa. You can get visa in two to three weeks. At least in Sri Lanka its the case cause all Sri Lankan visas are processed in INdia! so it will be faster for you guys. Althaf's info abt the contents of the visa is perfect..... however, i doubt whether u will be able to apply for your visa on that letter, coz the VISA letter also specifies the Sponsor License No. which is very important for applying for your Visa. Secondly, one cannot apply for the Visa without the said Letter as the said letter has the information required to fill the said form.... so as per althaf's suggestion write to the uni n get the letter ASAP... furthermore, u dont have to be tensed. once u get the letter u will have to apply ASAP as it will take at least 15 days to be processed.... provided you gv them all the info n documents at the first go..... further v will also have to keep some time, for the appeal, in case the application gets rejected.... i am not scaring you but just keep enough time and decide.... further just go thru the Tier 4 policy guidelines n chk which docs u need to submit n the info u need to gv them.... hope eveything works out fine for u.....in case u need any further info just mail me or leave a post..... all the best.....
further in case u get thr on the 10th whr will u be staying as the uni acco will not be avilable...i was not planning to get thr earlier than required coz of that.... just let me know.. thanx.
