Hi Roberta! Well, the JD programme does not have majors. I tried to take some financial services industry-related courses (like Securities Reg., Broker/Dealer, Derivatives & Risk Management), some litigation related (Fed Courts, Evidence), Europe-related (EU Law, EC Corporate), and IP related (Copyright, EC IP Licencing, and ... one other one, but I cannot remember the name!). Anyway, hope this was helpful.

Thank you Ilona! I was looking at Fordham's web page and I found this: http://law.fordham.edu/rd/html/admissions/adm-JDAdmissions.h...
So I thought those were majors. I got accepted for the LL.M on International law and Justice, so I thought you would know how Fordham is in relation to that. But I see you had other interests while taking the JD, like IP and others. But thanks again!! Overall, did you like to study at Fordham?

Yes, I really enjoyed Fordham. The people are really friendly, and I remember meeting a lot of nice LL.M. students as well. Fordham is definitely well-known for its work in international law, especially in the field of human rights. Will you definitely be attending Fordham? What are you interested in doing after you receive your LL.M.?

Hi Ilona! When I receive my LL.M I'm not really thinking about sitting for the bar exam, but It is good to know that I can. I would like to work for an international organization or something dealing with international law. During my LL.M I'll try internships at the UN, that's why I want to go to the university where the international law program is well known. I got accepted to Fordham, Cardozo and Pace, but didn't make up my mind yet. I know it is the first time that Fordham is offering the LL.M on International law and Justice (so I don't know how good it will be), while the other schools are having the program for a while.

Hi! In reply to Roberta R.'s post above, Fordham has had an International Human Rights Law centre for a long time. ( http://law.fordham.edu/leitner.htm -- this was not the name of it when I was a student there, but they had the beginnings of this institute and they had a highly reputed fellowship programme called the Crowley Programme, for scholars to come to Fordham.) So I hope that the LL.M. programme in International Law and Justice turns out to be as good! Also, out of Pace, Cardozo, and Fordham, Fordham has the best reputation in New York (but maybe I am biased). Anyway, best of luck with the decision-making process!

    Hi all,

I've also accepted the offer from Fordham for the Banking program, but am probably going to differ to the January start. Anyone else thinking of starting in January?
