    Hi Emily, welcome to the group. Its good to see u here, since we were beginning to wonder if we are the only ones attending UCLA. I heard that Cyprus is a beautiful country and I always wanted to to there and see it for myself and now that i know you, think it will help :)

    Hi Anu! Cyprus is beautiful, and the weather and beaches too! Let's start with LA and then I'll take you to Cyprus and you take us to India (i've never been either). Sounds good?! :)

    I'll be arriving around the 9-10 of August in LA..I hope that's not too late, I'll try to find accomodation from before. Did you both apply to Weyburn terrace? I think I have to do that this week too. Do you know if our chances are good?

    Hey Emily,

    from what I've heard UCLA can only offer student housing to a fairly small portion of their students (I think I might have read that roughly 30 % get an offer, but I'm not sure and I'd imagine that figures might be substantially lower) .. Yes, I applied for a place at Weyburn, but I also put in a couple of other choices. I guess I would take a Weyburn slot if possible, but I'm not sure about what I'd do if I got into one of the other (older, more distant) places ..

    As for travel destinations: Though it might not be as fascinating as Cyprus or India, the two of you are of course invited to Germany as well :-) .. we should be able to come up with fun things to do over here as well ;-))

    But let's first hit L.A. Have the two of you thought about getting a car? It seems to me like it would be good idea, not only to easily find your way around in L.A., but also in order to hit all of those great places around L.A., national parks, mountains, vineyards, beaches, San Francisco, San Diego, ..

    Hi everyone,
    I am tugce and I am from Turkey, ı graduated from Bilkent Unıversıty School of Law and now ı am working as an ınternshıp ın KAP law firm, ı hope ıt wıll fınıshed about 1 month:))

    thıs year ı am planıng to attend 2008 ucla -trade and commerce extention program, then apply 2009 2010 llm program ın ucla...may be ı won't be your class mate but may be ıt wıll be nıce to see you there, :)

    by the way Cyprus is the one everyone should be there once!!fantastıc screen and wheather..

    Hi Tugce, I am sure you will be meeting everyone from the LL.M batch and we also look forward to seeing you there.

    On the acco, howz everyone's house hunt going? Any luck from univ housing so far. I am looking at places near downtown LA, not too close to the beach and a bus ride to the univ...but think it won't be so bad.
