how many students have got an offer from NYU@NUS. do u think its worth waiting for results of other colleges? how many have got the dean scholarshp award of 20000$ this time... if for example i pay 500$ acceptence fee when will i asked be pay the rest of the amount? will it be after they(NYU) release their offers? NYU was my first choice. i am now in a state of fix... and regarding the bar exams whether indian students who have done theiir first degree in law are eligible to sit for NY bar examination? Whether this program is really worth it? any kind of reply would be appreciated...

I got the same offer as you. I am also weighing between NYU@NUS+20,000$ and NYU LLM in NYC. NYU@NUS graduates are eligible to sit NY Bar Exam.

I personally think, nyc might be better choice than singapore, since there might be more opportunities in nyc, first, the jd students will be excellent, second, all the professors will be within reach, third, more lectures and seminars might be held, do you guys agree?

@Cynthia Hu : hi cynthia, thanks for replying. would u accept this offer? it is also written on the offer letter that u have to withdraw ur applications from other colleges if one accepts this offer. do one really have to withdraw all their applications from other universities? i am waiting for harvard, NYU,columbia, Michigan results to come out. if for example i accept this offer will i still be considered for the NYU LLM program or they will not consider me as i have already taken up this course. it is also stated on the offer letter that i have the option of studying either in singapore or ny but the website only talks of studying in singapore.... i have a confusion regarding this.... do tell me when u accept this offer... and u are from which country?
@Charles Liu:hi charles, glad u can reply. i assume that u also must have received a similar offer like me and cynthia. u r right for the first point. but i had a word with an alumni regarding the second point and she says that as the batch strength is less in singapore, u have a better chance of interacting with the professors... but it comes with a rider.. i personally don't think that all the faculty can visit singapore which if is the case, we will be at a complete loss if the best faculty doesn't come to teach us. does all the professors come here to teach or only some of them? how do we know if we who all are coming and what courses can we select in asian and business laws and trade law?

what courses we can choose from, i think, is predetermined by what preferences we have provided by submitting our online application form and there is nothing more to worry about.
I still prefer nyu to nyu@nus. one more plus is that nyu@nus give you no chance to participate in the american llm international job fair, have you heard about that, that might be among the few chances that we can find a job before graduation, even though nyu@nus has its own asia job fair

@charles... even i would prefer NYU to NYU@NUS. but money is a big factor to be considered now. if u look at NYU expenses it says that it would amount to 70k and in singapore it would amount to 60k. plus we can save 20k from the scholarship we have been given. regarding the job thing NYU market is more uptight than singapore. even though we might miss on american LLM international job fair, asia's job fair would be more advantageous to us as all major law firms have offices in singapore and i think it would be easier for us to find a job in singapore than NY,, but if u have the kind of money to go to NYU. u should go there.. i don't have :-(....
suppose we dont intent to enroll in the nyu@nus program, is there any last date to confirm ur offer for the NYU LLM. Have u received any separate offer from NYU or it is given in the same offer letter of NYU@NUS.

I think I am in the same position as you, receiving the same admission letter and no more. And what's more money is definitely an important issue at this moment, especially when the economic situation has not turned around completely. But decision has to be made before 22nd. We all have to give it a serious consideration!
