Attorney Retention Conference in Washington, DC

Feb 26 2009, 12:14 AMThe Project for Attorney Retention is having its second annual conference next Thursday, March 5, 2009 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. This year, the PAR Conference will focus on how legal employers can continue their progress toward advancing and retaining women lawyers during the economic downturn. The topics to be addressed include: whether work/life balance is a viable concept in the wake of unprecedented layoffs; ensuring that hidden gender bias does not affect layoffs; efficiencies and efficacies to be gained in recognizing the connection between diversity and flexibility initiatives; and what law firms need to know about using their compensation systems to develop talented women lawyers.
The conference will also feature a first look at the results of PAR's part-time partner study and roundtable discussions of best practices.
