Jun 21 2008, 12:33 PMTo share what I experienced thus far:
I arrived in Singapore last Saturday (for acclimatisation and a diving trip to Pulau Tiuman ;-) ). I entered with a 30 day tourist Visa with no problems at all. My Form 16 SOLAR application was approved after three days some weeks ago. As I do not have yet received the approval letter by NUS (will it come by post or email?) regarding my Student Pass, I didn't have yet attended the medical screening.
I'm staying at Evans Lodge which is convienently located just across the street of NUS Law campus. Unfortunately EL seem to be totally overbooked, so if you haven't made an early waiting list entry, your chances to achieve a room of whatever category will go to zero...
And yes, it is rather old and not well renovated. Bot for the time in Singapore, it is a good and cheap places to stay near campus.
In that case you might want to look for an alternative accommodation as soon as possible before coming to Singapore. The next MRT (Subway) station is Newton, from there the busses to campus leave frequently.
Has anybody else in the batch already arrived in Singapore?
Hope to see you guys soon here!
Regards,
Ferdinand

Jul 23 2009, 07:08 AMHi all,
I am Shweta from India. I received my admission offer very late and this has put the consequent plans even later. I have still not been able to book a room for myself. Although I have been requesting for one at different avenues yet without any success.
@Ferdinand
@Federico
Hi there. As you are now in Singapore, can you give me some idea about the nearest locations from our facility?
@Kalpana
Have you got the accommodation? Is there any link where I can share a room ?
Guys please help as I am in desperate need.

I don't know how is right now. simply wrote to them with question... the web page in on the NUS Law page, the email to SIC is on the SIC page. It is a bit further than Evans, but it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the NUS...
