| More about me | Mr. Yuri Tkachenko is admitted to practice as an attorney in Ukraine and as a foreign legal consultant in Illinois. Mr. Tkachenko earned Master of Legal Studies degree from Lviv Ivan Franko State University School of Law in 1995. After his graduation, in 1995 - 1996 Mr. Tkachenko was working as a in-house counsel at German, Swiss and Polish joint ventures in Ukraine. Since 1996 to 1999 he was employed as Assistant to the Chief Judge of Frankivsky District Court in the City of Lviv. In 1999 Mr. Tkachenko served as a Senior Consultant at Lviv Regional Department of Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Since 1999 to 2002, Mr. Tkachenko was working as a teacher of Law at Lviv National University School of Law and provided legal consultations. In 2002, Mr. Tkachenko was appointed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine as a District Judge at Mykolaiv District Court of Lviv Region, were he was presiding over trials involving civil, criminal and administrative cases (General Jurisdiction Court). From 2006 to 2016 Yuri was working as a Foreign Legal Consultant at the Law Offices of David Freydin, Ltd in Chicago, Illinois ( www.freydinlaw.com ). Since 2016 Yuri is working as a Foreign Legal Consultant at Meltser Law Group ( www.bmlaw.com ). Mr. Tkachenko represents LAVRYNOVYCH & PARTNERS Law Firm ( www.lp.ua ) in the State of Illinois. Mr. Tkachenko also takes additional continuing legal education classes and courses under Illinois Supreme Court Rules 790-797 at Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Tkachenko is a member of American Bar Association (www.abanet.org ), The Chicago Bar Association (www.chicagobar.org), Ukrainian Bar Association ( www.uba.ua ) and Ukrainian National Bar Association ( www.unba.org.ua ).
