More about me | Attorney James R. Foley was born in Belleville, Illinois and was educated in public schools in Nashville and Franklin, Tennessee, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Huntsville, Alabama. He graduated from Athens College in 1967 after having served as president of the senior class and was elected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 1966-1967. Following college graduation, Mr. Foley served two years in U.S. Marine Corps in 1968-1970. He then attended Wake Forest University School of Law in 1970 and began practicing law upon graduation in 1973. Early on in his legal career Mr. Foley worked for Iredell County District Attorney in Statesville, North Carolina, and then moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1974. He co-founded The Legal Clinic of Foley and Morgan in 1979 and The Southern Animal Law Center in 1983 and is the present director and president. Mr. Foley is married to former Janet Renfro, with one daughter, two stepchildren and a beloved chi-poo pup. He will discuss your legal matters with you or discuss the current status of Atlanta Braves or Detroit Tigers baseball (fan since 1957) or Wake Forest basketball (fan since 1958). |
