Thnx for the info Caroline :)
after reading your post I started searching for apartments around Rittenhouse sq. and came across this:
    www.rittenhousesquarerentals.com/
I dont know if its furnished or not nor do I know the prices but it looks pretty good so I think I will contact them and ask about this stuff, just thought i'd share it with you all if anyone is interested.

    General Question for all :
Do you think we should book an apartment before we get there or wait till we get there and view it ourselves then book it?
because so many people have told me its better to personaly view the property before signing a lease on the other hand i'm afraid if we wait till we get there we wont find anything (good) available..

Just looked at the Rittenhouse sq apartments and they do look very nice. What I am concerned about would be the distance between the law school and Rittenhouse which would be a little far. I also looked for many apts in City Center but decided on Chestnut 2400 because it has the advantage of being between both, downtown and the law school (6 blocks, 10 min walking).

At least we all agree that living on campus is not the best option for us grads.

    Hi guys,

According to the map on the housing recommendation page (admitted student site) it says that from Rittenhouse square to Penn it's a 30 minute walk, or you can take the shuttle then it is around 10 minutes... Like Mariano said, Chestnut probably has the most convenient location for both the city and the university.

I can ask for the address of the appartment on Rittenhouse square where that current LL.M student lives if anyone is interested. His recommendation is also on the admitted student site (posted by Louis-Hubert Pacco).

    Hey everyone,

I've been also scouting out leads for housing and asking people for recommendations. I've heard good things about Chestnut 2400. Anyways, I really would love to look for a roommate and of course another LLM student would be a good bet! If anyone is interested in sharing with me or is looking for a rooommate please let me know and we can perhaps exchange some emails to work things out. I'm guessing that the average price per month would be between $700-$1000? Mariano, correct me if I'm wrong on those figures. I'm hoping to pay on the cheaper end if possible though.

Looking forward to seeing you all in August!

Also, these are recommendations I received from a friend currently studying at Wharton - The Wanamaker, 1500 Locust, The Riverloft, Parc Rittenhouse, The Claridge, 2121 Market, and 2400 Chestnut.
