protectionism or quality revamping ?

  Well, many foreign lawyers ( especially Commonwealth Country origin lawyers) are aghast with the herculean norms laid by the new SRA regulation that came in force Sept'2008. Now it is all the more intricate & whimsical to acquire the tag of " solicitor" for may FL ( foreign Lawyers), as now the dye has been cast for the utter protectionism. I will detail and lay bare gradually all the nuances this changes regulations brings about in my next thread. Not to mention , LSC( legal services commission UK ) itself seems apprehensive to give this very regulation a blanket endorsement.
