Alumni Association of the FU

Mar 18 2009, 02:46 PMHi everyone! Are you all current/aspiring FU students, or are there any former ones among you? I received my LL.M. from the FU in 2005. I joined the alumni association just to keep my Email address there, and the fee for recent graduates was only 10 Eur. They then told me that this year I am no longer a recent graduate and have to pay the regular fee of 50 Eur. I did not sign the authorization form, but just noticed that they have charged my bank account the 50 Eur! Has anyone else had this experience? In any case, for all you future FU graduates, please beware!

I don't even remember that I was contacted by the Alumni Association, but I graduated some years ago. 50 Euro doesn't sound like a bargain. What do you get in return?

Mar 21 2009, 05:54 PMMaybe they did have something in their regulations, but then it seems strange that they would have bothered to send me the authorization form to charge me 50 Eur! What you get in return is their magazine, you get to keep your FU Email account, and you get invited to different functions (but I am not sure whether you get anything off the admission price of these functions!). It was great when it only cost 10 Eur, but 50 Eur is a little steep.
