Crisis in Ukraine

Oct 30 2008, 08:21 PMI just read about how the financial crisis has hit the Ukraine (even most preparation work for the Euro 2012 has been stopped...).
What's the situation like for lawyers in the Ukraine right now?

Nov 04 2008, 07:21 PMActually, I don't think that crisis in Ukraine has a significant influence on ukrainian lawyers, especially on lawyers who are specialized on litigation, M&A, taxation. In my view, they even will have more work. Probably, problems (layoff) would have real estate lawyers.
And I didn't hear that preparation works for the Euro 2012 had been stopped... :-)[Edited Nov 04 2008]

Jan 11 2009, 01:07 PMI read that UEFA president Michel Platini said that Poland could host the Euro 2012 on its own if Ukraine does not complete its Kiev Olympic stadium in time, but later he assured that the Euro 2012 soccer championship will take place in Poland and Ukraine. The Ukrainian government thinks that Kiev's stadium will be finished on time and be ready to host the final. Let's hope they are right![Edited Jan 18 2009]
