Oct 07 2007, 06:47 PMDear Friends,
Greetings to all....
This is a good platform to discuss international controversial issues which need to be addressed in the interest of public. These may include Jurisdiction in the era of Internet, E-Commerce in Developing Countries, Domain Tasting, Structure of ICANN (should it be transformed into an International organisation such as an organ of WIPO or an independent body). You are welcome to add other issues in the above list. We can create independent threads to discuss each issue.
Regards

Oct 27 2007, 10:18 AMWhat do you think: Should a patent really be granted for this:
Amazon Patents Including a String at End of a URL (e.g. www.domain_name/San Francisco Hotels) ??
Is Google now required to hide the queries:

Nov 10 2007, 07:14 AMNortheastern University sues Google over patent: http://www.boston.com/business/technology/articles/2007/11/1...
Took them quite some time to find out that Google might be infringing the patent...
"Belanger said he has no interest in shutting down Google. 'We expect them to be generous enough to pay a normal royalty' if Northeastern and Jarg win the case. Northeastern will get half of whatever money is left after the lawyers are paid and other expenses are covered." :-)
