Tech savvy lawyers are using a range of apps in order to stay organized, to store content and to ultimately save time. With so many different apps out there, it can be tough to know which will be the best for your legal needs. We reveal seven must-have apps for lawyers.

    Dropbox

    Forget emailing important documents to yourself, instead store the info in Dropbox where you can easily organize and access them. Dropbox also gives you the ability to share specific folders with colleagues and clients. A free version of this app is available, while a paid version is useful if you plan on storing a lot of data.

    Google Drive

    Google Drive is a very handy tool for lawyers in all fields. Not only can you use it to write documents, create spreadsheets and make presentations, but you can also share content and allow others to edit it and comment in real time. A plus is that the Google Drive app is free of charge, and you can access it anywhere - even when you're offline.

    Keeping up to scratch with news is an important part of the job for many lawyers. News360 enables you to aggregate news to focus on specific topics.

    Wunderlist

    Stay on top of your to-do list with a nifty little app called Wunderlist. This free app enables you to organize and prioritize things you need to do, plus you can categorize your tasks to separate things such as personal tasks (shopping lists) with work tasks. It’s incredibly simple to use, and it will be sure to help you keep your business and personal life in check.

    Find My Phone

    A notable app that is worth downloading for both lawyers and non-lawyers alike, is the incredibly helpful Find my Phone app. Should your phone go missing, Find My Phone will allow you to remotely track its whereabouts, which greatly increases your chances of getting it back. Find My Phone also lets you lock or wipe data off of lost phones, so you never have to worry about someone viewing sensitive data.

    Find my phone is an app provided by Apple. If you lose your phone, you will be able to access the app from Mac computer or laptop.

    When it comes to meetings, lectures and other interviews, Soundnote is the only app you’ll need to be able to record important data. With a sleek interface, Soundnote will also allow you to type in notes, as well as draw diagrams so that you can make sure that you have noted down every little detail.
